Peace Dividend New this week 

Peace Dividend applies innovative methodologies and utilizes Global Diaspora networks to expand access to finance in countries recovering from civil war. The project is being rolled out in Southern Sudan, where we aim to channel global capital to small businesses with limited or no access to funds. Peace Dividend offers an effective way to reduce the risk of lending in Southern Sudan’s challenging business environment. Our methodology draws on the lessons of microfinance and traditional risk management to identify creditworthy businesses and minimise default rates, thus enabling lending that would not otherwise occur. We also rely on the networks, capital and expertise of the Southern Sudanese Diaspora.

This important new campaign presses for a visit by the UN Security Council to Khartoum to raise the issue of ICC indictments, and to set the stage for targeted sanctions against officials protecting the indicted two suspects. www.wantedforwarcrimes.org is working with NGOs in a range of member states including Britain, France, Croatia, Italy, Belgium, Costa Rica, the US and others to gather support in a range of ways.
